Here is my message to the INSIDERS:
"In Arabic we say "alf mabruuk" -- "a thousand congratulations!" In commemoration of the first anniversary of INSIDERS, I can at least say "365 congratulations!" I must point out that the word mabruuk literally means "(you) are blessed" -- and I truly mean this....Each of you should recognize how blessed you are to be part of this strategically important Asian manifestation of God's Missionary Spirit; for I am confident that He will use INSIDERS as an instrument for bringing God's greatest blessing, Isa al-Masih to all Muslim peoples of Asia."

"Dear Brothers and Sisters....the first year of 'Insiders' has come and passed, like a birthday. As you know, INSIDERS is not just another organization. The vision and passion that gave birth to INSIDERS are part of what I think and believe is a new reformation initiated by the Spirit among His people in order to see all nations transformed by the fullest blessing of Abraham. As I write I am teaching a course on Islam for the seminary from which I graduated over 20 years ago. Those 20 years took me on a journey, including a journey into both the Bible and the Quran. The fruit of that journey has been a deepening conviction that the path chosen by INSIDERS is a path deeply held in the heart of God Himself....this is His way....the way of incarnation....the way of yeast in the dough...the way of the Kingdom spreading in and through people within their families and social networks and even religious patterns of life.
May God bless INSIDERS abundantly and in every possible way.

My heartfelt congratulations to you and Insiders organization for
your 1st anniversary! I regret my absence from the conference, but my
heart is filled with excitement and great anticipation as to what God
will do in and through Insiders. God has already begun to do good work
in and through you. Insiders and Band Barnabas have much in common, so
I'd like to see that we are in the same boat together, raising up a
new generation of workers that would go to the edges of the
Kingdom.

Dear Brothers and Sisters of INSIDERS
I would like to congratulate you on this, your first birthday. A first birthday is a very special and precious time in Korean culture. I wish that I could have been with you to share in this special celebration, but this is physically not possible. However, I will be with you in heart and spirit.
I would like to share a verse of Scripture which has accompanied my wife and I along our walk with Jesus over many years. At every change in ministry, the Lord gave us this verse. We would like to share it with you as well at this time. It is found in Isaiah 43:18-19.
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
The word, “Forget” does not mean that we are to forget His goodness and the things He has done in the past. Those we are to remember. Rather, the emphasis on the word “forget” is that we should not dwell on the past, because HE wants to do new things in us and also through us. Jesus constantly wants to give us His new wine and wants us to be new wine skins (Matthew 9:17). Even though we are jars of clay, we contain His treasure (2 Cor. 4:7).
Our prayer for you all as you go ahead is that the Lord will do many new and wonderful things in and through you. Even when you go through difficulties, remember that HE is in you, and greater is HE that is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
